Itinerary:
Day 1: Humantay Lake (13h of tour and trip) – in group
At an agreed time, at approximately 4:30 am, we will stop by your hotel to begin our trip to the northwest of the city of Cusco. We will pass through different villages, houses until the town of Limatambo. From this point we will climb to the town of Mollepata, where we will have breakfast and lunch. On the way we will stop at Miraten de Markahuasi to observe the archaeological remains of the same name. Here the guide will give us detailed information about the place after breakfast and then we will go to Soraypampa. During the journey, the guide will talk about the flora and fauna and customs of the place.
Arriving in Soraypampa, the starting point of our walk, the guide will explain the correct way to walk at high altitudes, the walk time and distance. You will be given a small snack and walking sticks for a better walk that will last around 2 hours. Arriving at the beautiful Humantay Lagoon, we will be able to enjoy the wonderful scenery and the imposing view of the snow-capped Humantay and Salkantay. After a brief rest and break to take photos, we will return along the same route to Soraypampa where we will pick up our vehicle and return to Mollepata, where we will have lunch at a restaurant with buffet service. After lunch we will return to Cusco.
